Nevretdinov was born in Moscow, Russia into a family of musicians. From the age of 6, he began to study trumpet. He soon entered the Moscow Gnessin Special Secondary Music School in the class of the teacher Kirill Soldatov.
Ilyas performs with great pleasure on the stage and has an extensive concert repertoire. He has successfully participated in Moscow, All-Russia, and international festivals and competitions. In 2016, Ilyas Nevretdinov became a finalist of the All-Russian TV Young Talent Contest "Blue Bird" (Конкурс "Синяя птица") and a student of the 17th International TV Contest of Young Musicians "The Nutcracker". He received a prestigious scholarship from the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Fund. He is also a laureate of the Moscow Government Prize.
In 2017 the young trumpeter performed together with the famous pianist Denis Matsuev in the State Kremlin Palace. Nevretdinov participated in the gala concert of the International Music Festival "Spasskaya Tower" in the Moscow Kremlin.
To improve his performing skills, Ilyas actively visits master classes of famous trumpeters that include Sergei Nakariakov, Vadim Eilenkrig, Bolshoi Theater Soloist, Andrey Ikov, The Fortress Brass Quintet, Bradley Ulrich, and Eric Yates.
Ilyas Nevretdinov has performed as a soloist and collaborated with well-known musical groups that include: the State Symphony Orchestra "New Russia" directed by Yuri Bashmet, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Ivan Rudin, the conductors Vasily Valitov, Yury Medyanik, Freddy Caden, Igor Lerman, Dmitry Orlov and many others.
