Anna Kislitsyna, 2025 Trumpet Seminar Faculty

Anna Kislitsyna is an internationally acclaimed pianist and harpsichordist who made her solo debut at age 10 with the Omsk Symphony Orchestra. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, she remains in high demand as a soloist, collaborative pianist, and educator.

Recent highlights include recording new works for piano with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall, as well as performing Clara Schumann’s Piano Concerto with the Delaware County Symphony and McLean Symphony. Anna has graced prestigious venues such as The Kimmel Center and The Academy of Music in Philadelphia, Rachmaninov Hall at Moscow Conservatory, and Alfred Cortot Hall at Paris Conservatory. Critics praise her performances for their technical brilliance, emotional depth, and musical sensitivity.

Known for innovative recital programs, Anna blends contemporary compositions with Baroque and classical repertoire. She frequently collaborates with living composers, premiering new works for piano solo and chamber ensembles. Her recent recordings include a solo album, Piano Spectrums, featuring a Carnegie Hall premiere, an album of contemporary works for piano and orchestra with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and ten chamber music albums (MOTO series) as the pianist of Trio Casals for PARMA Recordings.

Anna has earned accolades in numerous international competitions, including Global Music Awards (2020, 2022, 2023), the Lautard-Chetchenko Competition (France), International Chamber Music Competition (Finland), Los Angeles International Liszt Competition, and Chopin International Piano Competition (Connecticut). From 2002 to 2012, she served as soloist-in-residence with the Omsk Symphony Orchestra.

As a collaborative pianist, Anna is a member of the Rosalind Trio and performs with principal players of the Philadelphia Orchestra. She has partnered with institutions such as Delaware University, Haverford College, West Chester University, Temple University, the Primavera Fund, Harmony for Peace Foundation, PMAY Artists Initiative, Ictus International Music Competition, and National Trumpet Competition. From 2012 to 2024, she performed with Trio Casals.

A dedicated educator, Anna teaches at Haverford College and the Nelly Berman School of Music, mentoring aspiring musicians and inspiring the next generation. She frequently serves as a jury member for international piano competitions and delivers masterclasses worldwide. Her students have won over 150 international competitions, including From the Top, London International Competition, Rachmaninov International Piano Competition, and Gershwin International Competition. Notable student achievements include performances with the Philadelphia Orchestra and a solo recital at the White House.

Dr. Kislitsyna holds a D.M.A. from Temple University (2018), where she studied piano with Dr. Charles Abramovic, harpsichord with Dr. Joyce Lindorff, and chamber music with Professor Lambert Orkis. Her dissertation explored Alfred Schnittke’s Concerto for Piano and Strings, and she has published articles on Olivier Messiaen, Sergei Prokofiev, Domenico Scarlatti, J.S. Bach, and Rodion Shchedrin. Anna also completed postgraduate coursework at Novosibirsk State Conservatory (Russia), earning a master’s and bachelor’s degree under Professors Larisa Smeshko and Mary Lebenzon, with a dissertation on Messiaen’s Vingt regards sur l'Enfant-Jésus. Additionally, she holds a master’s degree from West Chester University, where she studied with Dr. Igor Resnianski.
